Marble Arena 2 on Linux Mint v20.1!
Marble Arena 2 is a fun game where you roll and bounce a marble around different levels and collect various powerups and coins in order to proceed to the next level.
I was excited to make this video about this particular game, because I used to be very addicted to it a long time ago. I am also personally obsessed with getting older software to work in newer distros. Windows has always had the advantage of being able to run games that are 10-20 years old as long as you've kept up on your DirectX and Visual C++ runtimes. There are a couple games that I like from Windows 2000 that are difficult to run now because DirectX 7 is not supported anymore.
DOS games have excellent support in Linux, and I am thinking about doing a video about those. I use DOSbox with DBGL (great frontend!). Still, there are a bunch of old Windows games that you can run with Wine also. Certain games work, but not all. Thanks for watching, and please like and subscribe if my videos are able to help you.
