When Super Mario 3D All-Stars was announced there was great rejoicing and celebration. Some of the most beloved and beloved 3D Mario games were finally coming to the Nintendo Switch. Mario 64 is a classic. Super Mario Sunshine on the other hand has probably started a war somewhere and of course Super Mario Galaxy brought peace once again to the land.

That’s the legacy of the original 3D Mario games at least but as far the legacy of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection goes… we have some goombas to squash. On this weeks episode of Insight Gaming Kdin Jenzen digs into to the Super Mario 3D collection that could have been.
