In honor of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story coming out next month to America, I've decided to the game's predecessor, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time! This game isn't the best game in the series, but it's good enough to be a great game.

Anyway, the story starts out when in the past, a group of aliens known as Shroobs attack the Mushroom Kingdom. Meanwhile, in the present, Professor E. Gadd finishes building a time machine, and he lets Princess Peach be the first to test it out. Princess Peach goes back to the past and gets kidnapped by the Shroobs, where as Mario and Luigi in the present don't know. The time machine then returns to the present with a weird green monster in it. Mario fights the monster and defeats it. He begins to wonder what's going on.
