Here's the last area to cover in Mario Forever Remake: World 10 by Syzxchulun. It's not very different from the original game, but that doesn't mean it's easy ! It starts off OK, but once you're about half way through...my God, does it get hard ! The last castle in particular is ridiculous: about half way through, the screen goes almost completely dark ! Like that wasn't enough, there are loose stones dropping from the ceiling, narrow platforms and a butt-load of cannons, so you have to be really patient and have nerves of steel. To top it all off, they made Bowser insanely difficult too, as if the level wasn't already hard enough: he moves very fast and fires very rapidly, with most of his shots being three-way shots ! Seriously, whose idea was this ? One final kick in the balls is that there's no checkpoint before Bowser, so if you die fighting him, which is very likely, you have to go through the most difficult portion of the castle AGAIN ! It doesn't get any more frustrating than that. The lack of checkpoints has always been a pet-peeve of mine, but when it happens right before a hard boss, there's no excuse ! Bottom line: add some checkpoints, damn it ! Other than that, there's not a whole lot more to say about World 10 - it's not bad, but holy shit, is it hard ! Danny rulez !
