Developed by Mario Kart 64 ROM hack legend Litronom (you'll find his discord in OverKart 64, which you'll find in one of the links below), the much anticipated update "Version 2.97 (Ribbit) is finally here! Years of updates, this is the best one yet! Brand new tracks on top of the original, new unlockables with a handful of ways to unlock them, beautiful new options and front end menu screen, new racing modes and major fixes, like battle mode racing improvements, with the inclusion on a map system on it, wider selection in the CPU battle mode, new & improved multiplayer modes, special frog racing mode where you hop around the track like frogs in a race, new cups to win, difficulty amped up, new multiplayer cup races, new mini games, 8 Nintendo coins collection mode, even with an incredibly unique boss battle mode, and so much more! On top of all that, many positive updates have been implemented!

For example: added four additional `Unlocks`, added special collectibles tied to one of the unlocks (they're hidden across various courses), added special menus that will be accessible upon unlocking them, added more signs to Hazy Maze Cave on the alternate path, added Gordos to Green Greens on higher CC classes, added some more trees and lanterns to Kiki Kaikai Shrine, relocated the fan button on Carnival Realm, in order to make its function more obvious, changed item usage to be allowed while airborne & when struck by lightning, & reintroduced total Grand Prix time to be displayed at the end of a GP race! Plus a reworked Elimination & Balloon Race (in order to prevent sound related crashes on console), changed Diamond requirements for Balloon Race from "Don't lose a balloon" to "Don't lose all balloons", changed and added more UI elements to some menus for better comprehension, some smaller tweaks and improvements to the code.
