Next up is the Star Cup on 50cc, and I use Wario in this video. Wario is one of the three heavyweight characters in this game, alongside Bowser and Donkey Kong, while they do have a higher top speed, they lose speed when off-road.
The tracks for the Star Cup are Wario Stadium, Sherbet Land, Royal Raceway, and Bowser's Castle. A bit of trivia about Wario Stadium is that it is currently the only track in Mario Kart 64 to not have been brought back as a Retro Track in a later Mario Kart game, and I do like the concept of that track, and it is the 2nd longest track in the game. Wario Stadium has a lot of bumps and hills throughout the track, and there is a large jump, and if you fail it, you are take back a quarter of the track, and in later Mario Kart games, Lakitu would have come and brought you back to that point of the track. I do like how the description for Wario Stadium said it was more suitable to bikes, and it wouldn't be till Mario Kart Wii where bikes would then be used in Mario Kart.
Royal Raceway is an interesting track, and that track is called Peach Circuit in Japanese, the interesting detail about Royal Raceway is that you can drive around Peach's Castle, which uses its appearance in Super Mario 64, and this is where the Awards Ceremony takes place at. When that track was brought back in Mario Kart 8, the entrance to Peach's Castle is blocked off, so you can't drive around it.
