I play as Greninja in this video, and as I have said in previous videos, the characters used are based on a list that I have randomized, but the playlist will display the videos in order of how the fighters are shown on the roster. Greninja's Classic Mode route is Your Turn, Greninja!, which in Japanese is called Type Strategy League, this route is likely based on the main series Pokémon games where you fight Pokémon of different types, and this could be a reference to the Gym Battles and the Elite Four, so each of Greninja's opponents are likely a reference to Pokémon types.
To unlock Greninja, there are many different ways, the first one is Vs. Matches, Greninja is the 58th character to be unlocked, and it is the 6th character unlocked by completing Classic Mode with Donkey Kong or anyone in his unlock tree after Sheik.
In Round 1, you fight Charizard and Bowser on Pokémon Stadium, which represents the Fire-type, and for some reason Incineroar isn't included, despite being a Fire-type Pokémon. In Round 2, you fight Pikachu, Pichu, and Zero Suit Samus on Pokémon Stadium 2, which references the Electric-type, in Round 3, you fight Lucario, Ryu, and Ken on Pokémon Stadium, referencing the Fighting-type. Greninja's Round 4 opponent is Ivysaur on Pokémon Stadium, referencing the Grass-type, I'm surprised it's just Ivysaur, I feel like Olimar could be a character they could have as another opponent for that battle. In Round 5, you fight Mewtwo, Ness, and Lucas on Pokémon Stadium 2, which references the Psychic-type. In Round 6, you fight Squirtle and another Greninja, which references the Water-type, both are fought on Kalos Pokémon League, and if you play as the black costume for Greninja, you fight the default Greninja in that battle.
Then the Bonus Stage is next, and at the end of the route is a battle with Master Hand, and if you are playing on intensity 7.0 or higher, you will have to fight Crazy Hand as well.
Another bit of detail is that except for Rounds 3 and 5, the stage will not shift, as there is no Psychic or Fighting-type variant of the stage, in Round 1, the stage shifts to the Fire-type form, the Electric-type form in Round 2, the Grass-type form in Round 4, and the Water Chamber in Round 6.
As for completing Classic Mode with Greninja, the credits music is the Trainer Battle theme from Pokémon X & Y, one of my favourite remixes in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U, and you earn the Fighter Spirit for Greninja.
