Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online: Dr. Mario 64
0I show another game that is on Nintendo Switch Online out of the Nintendo 64 games that are currently on there, this one is Dr. Mario 64. This game released in 2001 in North America, and it didn't arrive in Japan until 2003 as part of Nintendo Puzzle Collection along with Panel de Pon and Yoshi's Cookie, and it was on the GameCube.
It wasn't until Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online that Dr. Mario 64 is available outside of North America, and it was never released on Virtual Console for the Wii Shop Channel or the Wii U eShop.
In the story mode, you get to pick between Dr. Mario or Wario, and in the story, a mysterious person named Mad Scienstein takes Dr. Mario's Megavitamins, and along with Wario, they go after him and see the reason why he took the Megavitamins.
The characters in this game originated from the Wario Land games, and some of the characters you go up against are different depending on whether you play as Dr. Mario or Wario. In this game, you line up four combinations of Virus and Megavitamins to clear out the Viruses, and this game has different game modes, there is Classic Mode which plays like the original Dr. Mario for the NES, and in Versus Mode, you can play as characters that are encountered in the Story Mode.
