Three different rooms, three different races. People tell me that the popularity of the Wii Wheel has gone down considerably, but you'd never think it's happening looking at these races. In all three competitons, at least 70% of the racers used the Wii Wheel.

Race #1
SNES Mario Circuit 3
The people here sure play pretty aggressively. I got flattened going offroad trying to get a Mega Mushroomed player behind me to not go after me, and they did anyway. Not to mention that, before and after that, some people slowed down just to make me slip on the Bananas trailing behind them. I don't understand the benefit to something like this, particularly if you aren't in the lead. You might as well drop the Banana on the field; that way, at least you don't lose any speed trying to slow one other person down. In both cases, it's that Roadkill guy going after me (and did the Banana thing again in SNES Ghost Valley 2). He must have some sort of grudge against me.

Race #2
DS Desert Hills
This race was frantic. There were constant warnings that some powered up player was behind me, whether it be Mega Mushroom, Star, or Lightning Clouds. I was able to stay at the front half of the pack, though, and was fortunate to get a Super Mushroom at the perfect time with no Thunder interrupting the process.

Battle #1
Balloon Battle
DS Twilight House
Oh dear...that poor word has been ruined. Instead of the period between sunset and night, the word "twilight" is now related to sparkly teenage-looking vampires and teenage-actual girls falling head over heels for them. It's almost as bad as the word "epic," which is nowadays almost never used to refer to an adventure story told in poetic form. (Not even considering that this book has completely messed up what a vampire is.)
But for the battle! In the battles that I was in, the Red Team got pushed around by the Blue Team. Two members in particular play very strong (one of which, I hope, made a Mii as a tribute to the late Michael) and are such crack-shots at items that the Red Team is pretty much cornered from front to back. In I come, the servers desire, to restore the balance. Apparently, that's exactly what I did in this one. (I couldn't do it in all of them though.)
