For Valentine's weekend, there's what's known as "The Couples Cup." Organization for it didn't go well, at least for me--I'm not even sure if I went into the riht room or chose the right character. People pair up, and points are added up between them.

Race #1
DS Delfino Square
It turns out that the Blue Falcon isn't well-suited for the narrow alleyways of Delfino Square...that, and I was compeltely overpowered when I tried to take the shortcut. I think I was better off not taking it if it meant someone would bash me with a Star, then a Bullet Bill while in it.

Race #2
Coconut Mall
A lucky Blue Shell put me in the lead, but I overestimated the time needed for Mim to catch up to me with a Mega Mushroom. Still, 3rd place isn't so bad.

Race #3
Daisy Circuit
There needs to be a better way to get these Item Boxes. I suppose it's been a staple since Mario Kart 64 for people to nab every Item Box in a cluster and not leave any for the people behind, though it kind of misses the point of the Items, to allow people to pass ahead.

Race #4
Moonview Highway
I missed with a Green Shell, causing it to collide with a Bomb Kart. Toadette (whom I think was Mono, my partner for this one) was caught in the blast, and it seems she retaliated by pushing me off the bridge, which marks my first time I've ever fallen off there without doing it on purpose.
