And to accompany my Assist Trophy Montage, I've also compiled together a Pokémon Montage, which consists of a clip from every Pokémon to come out of a Poké Ball in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

What sets these montages out from most other montages from this game you'll see is that all of them were pulled from actual battles. You'll get to see how these Pokémon, once out of their Poké Balls, can affect a battle. Many of them don't do any direct damage though.

Unlike Assist Trophies, many Pokémon aren't obvious in what they do. So, here are the notes on the clips if you're wondering something.

General - Pokémon who deal rapid hits while stunning opponents will always do the last hit with a lot of knockback power except for Staryu. You can see it happening in this video with Meowth and Torchic.

Bonsly - It walks around the stage. Anyone can pick it up and throw it for colossal damage (it can actually KO from 0%), but it's very heavy: It takes time to throw it, and you become a lot slower.

Celebi - Celebi appears in one of every 10,000 Poké Balls thrown in this game. It'll fly up, but not before dropping a few Trophies for anyone to collect.

Electrode - On occasion, Electrode will fail to explode. On even rarer occasions, Electrode will fail to explode--until a few seconds later.

Gardevoir - Reflect bounces back any projectile that touches the circle or starts within the circle that Gardevoir produces unless it comes from the person who threw that Poké Ball. You can see it happening here: The Ice Cimbers get themselves hurt by getting their Superspicy Curry reflected back at them.

Jirachi - Jirachi appears with a 1 in 10,000 chance. Jirachi flies up and leaves behind a large bunch of Stickers.

Manaphy - Heart Swap switches characters between two players. Take a good look at the bottom: In this case, Player 1's icon turns from Toon Link into Pikachu and vice versa, then goes back to normal when Heart Swap wears off.

Mew - For every 10,000 Poké Balls, one will contain Mew. Mew puts a single CD onto the field.

Munchlax - Munchlax will normally walk around slowly, but he'll dash as soon as he sees an item. Munchlax will not eat Poké Balls or Mr. Saturn, however.

Togepi (Lip's Stick) - Pay attention to Mario and his damage percentage. He's the only victim in this clip.

Torchic - The KO here was all Torchic. Snorlax didn't hit Peach.

Weavile - While Weavile does 1% damage per pass-through and stuns opponents, they'll get thrust up if they touch Weavile in midair.

Wobbuffet - Counter causes any player who attacks Wobbuffet to take damage. If it's strong enough and you damaged enough, you might be the one who gets KOed. Wobbuffet's Counter works exactly the same way as that of Marth and Ike.
