Each level has two parts. You'll need to collect a key and bring it to a door in part 1, similar to Donkey Kong '94. In the second half, your time carries over from part 1, and you'll simply need to find the Mini-Mario at the end and pick him up so Mario can break his crystal ball and free him. Each level features three presents that earn you a bonus game (similar to Pauline's stuff, again from Donkey Kong '94). You can also earn a star by beating the level's high score. These stars unlock Expert Levels, so you'll need to get them all if you want 100%.

There are technically also a few Japan exclusive e-Reader levels, but sadly I have no means of accessing these, so I'll have to skip them.
