Hello friends, in today's video we dive into the mystery and horrifying world of Martha is Dead. Martha Is Dead is a dark first-person psychological thriller, set in 1944 Italy, that blurs the lines between reality, superstition and the tragedy of war. (Steam)
In today's video we begin the game from the main character, Guillia, who frantically finds her twin sister, Martha, floating in the lake near their property dead. Guillia is the identical sister of Martha, and so nobody can make them apart, even their parents. When their parents make it to the lake, they find one of the daughter's dead, and Guillia wearing the name tag (dog tag), with the name tag showing, the parents immediately assume that Guillia is the sister that had died, and Martha is still alive. Nonetheless, Guillia is forced to take Martha's identity and live as Martha for the rest of her life. However, the mystery around what happened to Martha is still yet undetermined and Guillia is longing to find out what happened.
The story then begins with the game showing the player how to use the camera system and how to print the photos that have been taken on the camera. Some photos taken by the camera contain important information about the game and its story, while others are simply taken for entertainment. Throughout this process, every night, Guillia is having nightmares about Martha and what could have happened to her that seem more or less real.
