In this video I discuss the tendency of many beginners to throw quick, inefficient cuts with little rotation, and why I don't consider that martially viable with regards to historical combat. This is specifically about dedicated attacks to the opponent, as opposed to blade displacements and other actions not intended to directly land a hit.
