Martian Memorandum continues the story of private investigator Tex Murphy and plays out a few years after the Mean Streets case. While Mean Streets was a mixed bag of genres and experimented with technology used in earlier games, Martian Memorandum was much more coherent and played like a classic point-and-click adventure.
Computer Gaming World in 1992 praised the audio and digitized animations and named it one of the year’s top four adventure games.
