The solo player uses the microphone to issue commands to move the mushroom platform "UP" or "DOWN".

The teams job is to try to avoid the Bullet Bills and stay on the platform.
If at anytime you fall off or get hit by Bullet Bill, you're out of the game.
You can jump on the Bullet Bills as they pass by, not only to give you some extra height but also get rid of them. But try not to jump on your own teammates.
The solo player wins if they can take out the team within the time limit. Whereas, the team wins if at least one of their own survives for 30 seconds.

Only played the solo player with this one.

Played on a Panasonic Q. I've managed to repair it myself, btw.
