122Marvel Legends Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man review. I compare and contrast Hasbro's new Amazing Fantasy 15 First Appearance Spider-Man with Toy Biz's Sentinel build-a-figure wave First Appearance Spider-Man, with shots of comic book panels from Amazing Fantasy by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko for comparison. I also include shots of this action figure posed with the new Spider-Man Deluxe Retro Card Rhino release from earlier this year, and they look pretty cool together. It's odd that this Spider-Man didn't have toe articulation when Renew Your Vows Spider-Man was revealed and released around the same time. He comes with some cool accessories, but the web wings are pretty cheesy and they feel a little low-quality because they don't stay in the holes underneath Spider-Man's arms very well; they're very stiff and don't look like the comic book art. The web like was a nice addition, although it doesn't feel super necessary, but it's nice to have. This toy is good as a generic Spider-Man, but it doesn't fit the bill for amazing fantasy. Amazing fantasy Spider-Man was an okay Marvel Legend, but I didn't feel like he was an outstanding one. I did feel that the sculpt on this one was a pretty decent one for a Spider-Man body, and it felt like I could do pretty much anything I wanted with him. The number of accessories he came with was also nice, but despite all that, it just didn't look like Spider-Man's first appearance in the toy biz version of this character from almost 20 years ago. Looks a lot more like the comic book than this one does. Besides that, the little web wings don't work well. They go in a little peg hole underneath his arm and they're very liable to fall out. And the pose ability with them on is very limited because Spider-Man doesn't look good with them on most of the time, so I really found myself just leaving them off.
