Here we get lured into a trap by Mystique, who locks us into the Danger Room and forces to go through holographic projections that are getting more and more dangerously stronger and intense with each increase in level. Much like when Magneto infected the Danger Room computers with a virus that did the same thing in the Sega Genesis title. Only things are briefer here and we don't have to traverse a stage and beat a boss to get to the next level of the Danger Room. But things overload and release us so we can escape, only for Magneto to duel us with the Power Stone when we get back to the front of the mansion.


However our fight gets interrupted by the return of Proxima, and her husband Corvus Glaive. We have four of the Infinity Stones so if they get these they'll have over half of the set. Now this fight, you're destined to lose on your first time playing through as you'll be too weak to take these two on in either phase. But in actually being highly leveled and such as we are now, we can actually quote unquote win the battle, which you want to do in the end anyway as they act as treasure boxes, you'll get artwork of the other members of the Black Order on different difficulties, as well as get a big EXP boost among other things for your trouble of actually surviving the battle against each phase against them.


You want to take Proxima out first since she has a lot more AOE attacks or long range in general. But after that, we have to run from them, and Scarlet Witch gets us out of there, only to end up in the Dark Dimension, a place we only heard about in MUA1. That happens a lot with this title, seeing people and places we only heard about in past games. Regardless, we don't venture far before we find one of my favorite characters in the game, Elsa Bloodstone! We take her along through our trek through this realm, and eventually get Ghost Rider as well, whom I have tag along with us as well in our journey through the Dark Dimension. Many perils a foot in this trippy location.


But yeah, it's real evident now at this point from who I've used, the game has a number of melee and range users who really are distinctive to each other. Barring somewhat similar powers at times, each character has their own flair and personality, Elsa Bloodstone being the most unique in this regard.
