And here we are in the final mission that only becomes available after you complete all the other missions in the game. And it's a sewer level maze, dandy. At set and semi random intervals, Bob's signal cuts in and out, which can make figuring out where to go tricky, sometimes in his message you can get at least a good sense of where to go possibly depending on what's there. Yeah, needless to say without this being in English, I NEVER would have been able to find my way through this stinking maze. But I have a solid sense of how to get through here now after having played through it a few times to have the route semi memorized.

Which is tricky when most rooms look nearly identical. Also, Bob's transmission right before Zeriam appears can be interrupted by the signal issue, leaving Iria to ask what about Zeriam, but that can still serve as a good warning for the player to be aware that he's coming. And yeah, you CAN'T fight him until you get to the transporter room and find it's busted. You try and hurt him during the chase, even with the rocket launcher he will only take one damage, and dish a ton of damage to you.

After defeating him he surprisingly doesn't have a second form or anything and is actually dead, which surprised me first time around. I liked most of the music in the game, and do enjoy the game overall however, I only have one real complaint. Given this is based upon the OVA, I was sorta hoping for a Super Famicom rendition of one of Zeriam's more ominous themes from the anime for his final encounter. Woulda made it more intense and thrilling a bit.

I mean, the instrumentation of it in the OVA is borderline what the console was capable of to an extent so it was shocking that it wasn't included at all but I digress. Minor thing, it's an overall enjoyable game and is a bit of a what if as it does differ from the anime a bit but otherwise is in keeping with most of the Zeriam lore, to a point. In both owning the OVA and having watched the first live action film I can say that. Well, see you next run and hope you enjoyed this romp with Iria.
