Mashinky: The Mountain Ep 12 - End of the Line [Gameplay - Signal Tutorial - Let's Play]
Join me as I continue another Mashinky gameplay playthrough. This time I am using a custom map with a HUGE mountain. It is going to present unique challenges as I will have to do plenty of terrain editing and earthworks along with a fair amount of bridge building.

In this episode, "End of the Line!," I continue to connect up as many points on the mountain Mashinky map as possible. Points include cities, resources, and production like tool works and foundries. I get quite a lot connected but some issues arise.
►►►Explanation of issue:
Before this episode, I had only one small circular railroad corridor. Once there was one large circular path on the map, some trains couldn't find their paths. Most of these trains were running for a long time without any issue, but after I connected a large circular path, those trains that weren't having issues finding a path started to lose their path and stop. It wasn't a huge issue until I connected one more large circular path that went around the whole upper mountain. Both new and old trains got confused and stopped with the "can't find a path" error.
Admittedly, near the end of the video, a few "can't find path" issues were my fault as I didn't have some signals going in the correct direction. But even with those signals fixed, the problem persisted.
So, in conclusion, this will be the last episode in this series. I don't know if I am the only one that has had the "can't find path" issue even when there is a clear path. I also don't know if anyone else has come across this, or maybe it is just me. Leave a comment below if you have come across a similar issue. Again, maybe I am the only one, or maybe there is a workaround I am unaware of. I don't know.
Either way, I still LOVE Mashinky. And I will be doing more series when there are updates, like when a new era gets published.

To accomplish the goals and tasks in this Mashinky play through review signal tutorial video, I use a variety of chain/combo signals as well as regular block signals. These are used in Tee junctions, crossings, and counterclockwise roundabouts, or turnarounds.
You will find many tips and tricks in this Mashinky review and playthrough that I use whenever I play Mashinky.

Quote from the Mashinky Crew:
"Mashinky is a strategy game created by Jan Zeleny.
The goal is to build your own transport imperium on a procedurally generated map.
The game is [a] unique combination of realistic graphics
combined with an isometric construction mode
and board-like game rules.
A challenging business simulation game with everything cargo delivery can require. "
Mashinky is a train based tycoon game with an isometric grid-based map. It has two modes of play. One is a build mode that strips down the graphics to allow for a more convenient way to see what you are doing while constructing tracks. The second mode is a beautifully rendered "realistic" mode where you can view your train empire in all its glory. In this mode, you can even ride the trains in a ride-along mode.
