BioWare's Mass Effect is probably my favourite videogame series, and has been ever since I first delved into its galaxy and first experienced its many, many virtues. It had been a few years since I played through any of the entries in the franchise, but I recently found the time to sit down and experience the Legendary Edition, and, as the 135-hour story came to an end, I was reminded of the controversies surrounding the final moments of Mass Effect 3, and how I never really understood why its endings were so widely despised. So today I'm taking a look at Mass Effect 3's infamous endings, and trying to explain why they're some of my favourites of all time.

Chapters:

00:00 - History & Background
09:24 - Part 1: The Video Actually Begins
25:46 - Part 2: Assessing Our Options - Reject

56:23 - Part 2(b) - Control
1:04:20 - Part 2(c) - Synthesis
1:08:45 - An End, Once and for All
