A short presentation of Dan Illowsky's Master Miner, published by his own Funtastic, Inc. for the IBM PC in 1983.
Following the huge success of his Pac-Man-inspired Snack Attack for the Apple II. Illowsky left Dave Gordon and Datamost to start his own company in 1982. Along with Michael Abrash, Illowsky was among the first to bring arcade-like experiences onto the IBM PC.
Master Miner is a well-executed alien-shooter, with one significant difference from the many other similar games released at the time as it can be played by two players simultaneously. Play together against the computer, or play as every man for himself.
