I can't help, it feels a bit like a casual version of Civilization. However, it's day one of a three month EA-period until its final release. 21:9 is perfectly supported and the game is great in atmosphere, pace, stability and clean artdesign already.

The biggest change that space battles are realtime now instead of turn-based isn't that bad if you automate them anyway. At least for me. :)

If you love Master of Orion it might be worth getting hands on, as the three predecessors are included and you might end up getting stuck in MoO2 anyway.
