Matthew McConaughey, who helped develop the brand new Moody Center, says he had two goals for the venue: To make it a place that every big band wants to play, and that it be the last place that any visiting basketball team against the Texas Longhorns want to play at. “It is time to bless the Mood,” McConaughey proclaimed at the ribbon cutting April 19.
