Maximizing Network Performance : Ubiquiti 10GbE Switch Unboxing - (4-Port Flex XG)
10GbE Networks can create a sense of freedom once all the components within your network are synchronizing harmoniously. How do we get to this point and what do we actually need to purchase to get 10 GbE functionality? Most tutorials on the subject are complicated and they could take a long time to work through.
Get ready for a power session like no other.
We will unbox a neat and well priced managed 10 GbE switch, the Ubiquiti Flex XG, and create a simple 10 GbE Network that will consist of 5 different hardware items:
A Ubiquiti 10GbE PoE Managed 4 Port Switch (USW-FLEX-XG)
HP Z840 Workstation (the main work machine)
HP Z420 Workstation (Custom NAS)
CAT6A / CAT7 Ethernet cable
And two Intel X540-T2 10GbE Network Interface Cards (NICs)
The Ubiquiti Flex XG is a powerful and versatile 10GbE switch that's designed for small to medium-sized businesses. The switch comes with everything we need to get started: the switch itself, a power supply and cable, a mounting kit, and some screws. The Flex XG switch has 4x 10GbE ports and 1x 1GbE ports, making it a great option for businesses that require high-speed data transfer. The Flex XG also features advanced security and management features, such as VLAN support and SNMP monitoring, which can help to keep your network running smoothly.
