Hey guys! I routinely play against players even at the Challenger level who are using their Tome of Traits incorrectly. For those of y'all who prefer to read, the TLDR is:

-Tome works on PvE rounds, and should generally be used then since you can manipulate tome odds without sacrificing board strength
-inactive traits count, such as 1 Sniper
-Breakpoints are with 6/8/10/12 traits for 1/2/3/4
-Try to play Yordle, Enchanter, Twinshot, or even Colossus since these traits emblems do not exist but count towards your trait total
-Bonus tip is to mentally prepare to do things fast, even if it isn't perfect it is better than having 6 items on your bench for your next fight
-One more thing I did do in the video but didn't specify is that there is a rumor flying around that you can pop it right after the round starts for the desired effect. You cannot!
