🔴MCU Actor Teases A Popular DCU Fan Casting Becoming Reality🔴
A Marvel Cinematic Universe star has teased his possible DC Universe role as the Batman villain Bane. As one of the Dark Knight's most famous villains, Bane is likely to become one of the characters brought in for James Gunn's DCU. There are some great choices for who could play the Batman villain in DC's upcoming movies; however, fans already have a clear favorite to take on the role — and it is an MCU star.
On Instagram, Guardians of the Galaxy franchise Drax actor Dave Bautista teased his casting as the DCU's Bane by sharing fan art of the Batman villain.
The actor has been the fan-favorite to take on the role for some time now, with Gunn's teases that Guardians of the Galaxy actors will join his DCU fueling the fans' hopes of Bautista as Bane. While there are multiple DCU characters Bautista could play, it is easy to see why the MCU's Drax actor would be an interesting choice for Bane in The Brave and the Bold or other DCU projects.
Physically, Bautista would be pitch-perfect as Bane. The Batman villain is most famously known for his imposing physique, with Bane being one of the foes who regularly tests Batman in hand-to-hand fights, being iconic for breaking the Dark Knight's back multiple times in the comics and other adaptations. With his previous WWE experience and roles such as Drax in the MCU, Bautista has Bane's physicality down.
However, Bane is not all about his strength, no matter if portrayals of the character, such as that of 1997's Batman & Robin, try to paint him as dumb muscle for other villains. Bane is actually one of Batman's most challenging foes due to his ability to present both a physical and an intellectual threat to Bruce Wayne. While director Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises touched on that aspect, Tom Hardy's awful Bane voice and the lack of the character's famous "Venom" substance hindered that version of Bane from going all-out.
