10I didn't talk this video, as the game can be a bit of a slog and there wasn't much to say. I doubt I'm coming back to play any time soon. Good for what it was, but hasn't aged as well as MW2: 31st Century Combat or MW2: Mercs.
The first bit of the video is playing through the story. You can get through the entire plot in minutes, without ever seeing combat.
The second portion of the video, I grind for money. The fastest way to make money without the risk/slog of combat is to buy mechs at industrial planets, and sell them at fringe/poor planets. The mech inventory of a planet is totally RNG, which is why reloads are constantly required. There's also a hard 5 year time limit where you need to beat the game or you lose by default, so all travel needs to count.
The final portion I get my group of 4 BattleMasters, hire a crew, and try to train them up before final confrontation. There's a failed attempt in here, where I need to reload that as well, but it sort of comes with the simulator territory.
This could obviously be perfected, I wasted lots of time figuring out what to read, what to memorize, and made several menu mistakes, but this is essentially what you need to do to win quickly and without cheating directly in any way. With better RNG or understanding of how/when good mechs appear, this could be shortened significantly.
