The 8E model of the Hellspawn was designed with the idea of increasing the Hellspawns support capabilities. To do this, engineers upgraded the LRM 10 launchers with artemis fire control. This addition however meant that the energy complement was downgraded to a single medium pulse backed by two er medium lasers.

Although it isn't spectacular in any single regard the Hellspawn 8E isn't a bad model of the Hellspawn. It edges out the 9F in my opinion because of it's ECM ability, though it lacks the hardpoint numbers it can easily make up for that with it's ECM to allow players to get close.
