The DD variant was quickly built after the release of the helm memory core allowed the reintroduction of lostech to the inner sphere. Taking the standard S variant of the Jagermech, technicians quickly updated the design with medium pulse lasers of the regular models and changed the AC/5's to the new ultra versions. This increase in damage also allowed for more armour because of ferro fibrous being mounted. The only hold back was the fact the variant still used single heatsinks.

The DD is a six ballistics monster of a heavy. Though not as durable as some other more recent heavy ballistic 'mechs out there it has the distinction of being one of the first dual boat 'mechs in MWO with the likes of dual gauss and dual AC/20 back before the arrival of clan tech and even ghost heat. The six slots allow for a vast amount of customisation for the inner Ork dakka enthusiast player and thus creates some impressive gameplay opportunities. Worth a look at for sure.
