This is a fun new song for kids and adults alike! Do you know how many planets in our Solar System have rings? There are more than you might believe!
Join Saturn and the Nirks Planet Puppets as they take you to meet all the planets in our Solar System with rings and maybe a few more friends too… The journey begins in our outer solar system with the Jovian Gas Giants. Using special camera and filming techniques, we were able to get up close and personal with all the ringed planets and see their rings. A great, educational and fun song! This is a perfect video for children and parents to enjoy together.

The most mystical planetary sight that can be seen, is a planet with its very own system of rings
Rings are made up of rocks and dust and ice, that orbit round a planet, and make it look so nice
They’re formed by asteroids and comets torn apart by gravity, or impacts from objects on moons and other space debris
Let’s go meet the planets that have rings,
There are more of us in our solar system than you may believe
All four outer planets have a ring system
The Jovian Gas Giants, Let’s go and see them
I’m Jupiter- The largest Gas giant - I have 4 known rings
They are composed of mostly dust, and they are very close to me
Which makes them hard to see, but they are always with me
I’m Saturn and I have the biggest set of rings
Several large groupings made up of thousands
I’m the most spectacular sight that you’ve ever seen
But, wait there’s more
I’m Uranus – I have 13 known rings around me –
Made up of large rocks and space debris
I lay on my side while they orbit me, vertically
I’m quite unique
I’m Neptune – I have 6 rings too
They’re very faint and dusty
My inner moons shepherd them around me
They have well defined arcs you can see
But Wait there are more ringed objects to meet,
Gas giants aren’t the only ones in our solar system with rings
Did you know other objects besides planets can have rings?
Let’s go and see who else we can meet
I’m Haumea, A dwarf planet, with 1 known ring
I’m the first object in the Kuiper belt
To be discovered with rings
It’s a beautiful thing, that makes me even more unique
I’m Chariklo, and I’m an asteroid with 2 rings
I’m also classified as a minor planet
The first minor planet found to have rings
I think there is one more meet
I’m Chiron, They thought I was an asteroid,
but now I’m known as a minor planet and also a comet
I might have 2 rings around me
We’re all very different
But we all have rings
There are many more of us out there with rings
