The Sun is back with an all new Challenge Series! It’s the Name Your Rings Challenge. Each episode, the Sun will ask a different ringed planet, dwarf planet, or asteroid to name their rings. This series is a fun, educational minute for the whole family to enjoy! In this episode, Uranus will try to name his 13 rings. In order of increasing distance from the planet, they are: Zeta, 6, 5, 4, Alpha, Beta, Eta, Gamma, Delta, Lambda, Epsilon, Nu and Mu. Uranus always has fun with these challenges. Fun Facts about Uranus' rings: Did you know: Uranus possesses two sets of rings. The inner system of rings consists mostly of narrow, dark rings, while an outer system of two more-distant rings, discovered by the Hubble Space Telescope, are brightly colored: one red, one blue. Unlike the other planet’s rings, Uranus’ rings are made up of large rocks/boulders in addition to dust and space debris.
