September's almost wrapped up, but we've got one more big one to do! I originally attempted recording this Kirblog based on an anonymously-submitted question from tumblr prior to the Bojack Horseman one with Shady a couple weekends ago, but felt it was more appropriate to do after that...and so, on my next attempt, I decided to invite some guests! As a sort of 'spiritual successor' to a previous one we had recorded, I'm joined by Ben Diskin (and Heather!) to discuss the good and bad possibilities that come with meeting your heroes...and why the phrase of how you should supposedly 'never meet them' exists. Ben and I share a bunch of interesting stories, both first and second hand, about being both in the idolizer and idol positions, the do's and dont's of how to handle those situations, and give advice on how to stay objective towards those we put on pedestals. When you're young and impressionable, it's easy to take things too far, but the people regarded as heroes have a responsibility to leaving a good impression. In the end, there's many ways for both sides to come out of those experiences happy, as long as we all remember...everyone's only human!

Take a listen to the awesome ANNCast episode interviewing Justin Cook!
