Mega Man 3: Part 1: Title Screen & Top Man Stage
After this massive success for Mega Man 2, Capcom went on to make more sequels for their now 1st Class(top-selling/mainstream) franchise, starting with Mega Man 3.
However, there were a lot issues in developing this game. Some concepts had to be cut, and at times, this game felt buggy or incomplete. Because of this, while Mega Man 2 was Kenji Inafune's most favorite Mega Man game to make, Mega Man 3 is said to be his least favorite to make.
Among some of the issues, the title screen music seemed to imply that there was going to be an opening sequence for the game before and during the title screen itself.
Considering that Mega Man 4-6 DID have openings, this claim isn't too farfetched.

Here's the story:
After Dr. Wily's defeat in Mega Man 2, he is said to turn to over a new leaf, and teams back up with Dr. Light like they used to.
They developed more robots, including eight more Robot Masters, and a giant peace-keeping robot called Gamma. The robots were assigned to gather Energy Elements that are scattered across different plants to fuel Gamma.
However, the robot masters went crazy and took off, each of them trying to get the Energy Elements for themselves. Mega Man, with his new Slide ability and new robot dog, Rush, goes off to find the eight Robot Masters, take back the Energy Element crystals, and find out why those Robot Masters went berserk to begin with.
Along the way, he will encounter a blast from his creator's past...

Up to Point:
I first start this game off by fighting Top Man.
Top Man was originally developed by Dr. Light & Dr. Wily to look for resources on other planets in order to support Gamma.
He is known for his high-speed spinning attack known as Top Spin. When Mega Man gets this attack, it becomes very tricky to use without hurting yourself.
Although every Robot Master has an Energy Element crystal, they'll never appear once you beat them, but they do get picked up if the story has any say.
--------------
Trivia:
Top Man and his stage weren't planning to look the way they do now. Kenji Inafune had worked on the concepts for both for a whole week, all on a computer.
But then, somebody at Capcom tripped over a power cord and crashed the computer(s) that used it, including the one used to make Top Man.
So Inafune needed to remake everything from scratch in three days, resulting in the Top Man and stage of him that we see now.
This is amongst the few issues that occurred while developing this game.
