It's time to get started with the fourth out of five installments of the Game Boy Mega Man games. Here in the fourth one major change is present that definitely sets this game along with the fifth game apart from the first three. And that is the ability to buy things from Dr. Light during the game. This game will introduce a form of currency in Mega Man for the first time! And the game is also longer compared to the first three by the way 🤣. I think you can safely say that we are just getting started here on the Game Boy 😅.

Mega Man IV is the next installment of Mega Man on the Game Boy and the biggest one yet. So far the Game Boy titles have been feeling a bit smaller than their NES counterparts, but that all changes with the coming of this new game. It even makes use of a new mechanic that the NES games never had: The addition of the P-Chips as a system of currency! Mega Man will be able to upgrade himself with a lot of useful items during his adventure by handing these P-Chips to his master Dr. Light so he can help him out. And helping something he surely needs to do, because Dr. Wily is back once again and he seems to be more powerful than ever. This time around it will be quite the chore for Mega Man to stop Dr. Wily yet again.
