Part 2. I like this game a lot. It does so many good things, it also does a few frustrating things as well. The game is is pretty straight forward and relatively easy. The main game is solid, the side stuff with NPCs was really strange and didn't make a lot of sense. I had to be missing something, they all seemed to dead end with no real reward. You could gift Roll trinkets and that didn't seem to do much other than a small creepy cutscene. There were some brutal races you could participate in. The time to finish was insanely tight, but the reward just seemed pride and some money. The optional dungeons were pretty simple and at least gave you some parts for new special attachments. This was one of my big problems. You can only have one extra weapon at a time. Since when can Mega Man only have one weapon? It was really frustrating having to go back to Roll to try out and switch parts. Having to run back out of a dungeon because you need the drill is silly. That being said, it's a ton of fun exploring the dungeons and there is a decent variety to them and gimmicks, sort of. The only dungeon I wasn't a big fan of was the water dungeon and that was because of how slow you moved underwater. It would have been cool to have at some point got an adapter that allowed you to move normally underwater. Still had some cool water physics. The game controlled well enough. Hell, it had analog function and the right stick allowed for camera movement. There aren't many original Playstation games that had that. It's a decently sized game so there is a decent amount of content, most of which is centered on the main story. The story is fine, but breaks down into some silly anime stuff towards the end. The final boss is a huge ramp up in difficulty, typical to the Mega Man series. I needed to grind for some more money for another full heal. I even spent way too much money on the highly overpriced end game laser. It did help though and melted the final boss. That was maybe the only hard boss. Most of the bosses weren't all that tough, but there were some cool fights. You destroy an entire war train. You also fight some hired mercenary pirate antagonists and each fight is slightly new and different, which is appreciated. It's a darn shame we probably will never see another Legends game. They are a ton of fun. I see why people treasure these so much. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
