You read that right. In one straight shot, I complete the entire first game in the Mega Man series without getting hit once. This is easily the hardest thing I've ever accomplished. This took an absurdly long time to achieve, but it was worth it!

I take every precaution I can think of to make things easier, but there are still plenty of problem areas. The biggest problem is Guts Man, because he can be very cheap. In all my many attempts, I made it to the final Wily stage 5 times, and Guts Man got me twice. If he gets you cornered on the left, there's really nothing you can do. Wily stage 1 was also pretty troublesome for a few reasons. The spike pit with the footholders is pretty tough and intimidating... it must've gotten me at least 4 times. In addition, the Yellow Devil boss is a big nuisance. While he's not too hard to perfect, at this point in the run there is a lot of tension, and 7 passes of his attack can be extremely nerve-wracking. These were probably the worst parts, which isn't to say the rest of the game was a breeze. Wily himself thankfully never got me, but he is still pretty worrisome. Big eyes, Bomb Man, Elec Man, and a few other parts can be annoying too if you lower your guard.

Note, this is a glitch free run. That means no select trick or other exploitable tricks to make the game easier. And as always, no savestates, slowdown, or turbo is used at all.
