I wanted to do something special for my 100th video, and the idea of taking out every Robot Master on Wily Stage 5 using only the buster weapon and taking no damage popped into my head (on difficult mode of course). After a few attempts, I quickly changed the challenge simply to do it without dying or healing, mostly because the initial goal seemed unattainable. Eventually, I managed that, but it really wasn't all that special for a 100th video, so the greater endeavor began once again. And, after hours and hours of frustration, I finally succeed.

The 2 hardest robot masters to handle were Air Man and Quick Man, mostly because they can be insanely cheap. Air Man has one attack that is next to impossible to dodge and another that is impossible to dodge. Basically, I just need 3 good attacks at the start to lay quick waste to this cheap bastard. Quick Man is an utter mess. He can be unpredictable and ruin a vast majority of runs. I fought him so many times, my finger muscle memory did the fighting, while my brain was shut off. I was lucky if I could beat him once every 10-20 tries, and considering I had to get through Air Man first, this inevitably resulted in a large number of failed runs.

Even after Quick Man, Wood Man is still no picnic. The maneuver to run under him requires precise timing, and having gotten past the 2 worst robot masters makes for some nervousness.

With him out of the way, the rest aren't nearly as much of a problem. Bubble Man is almost always a breeze, and Crash Man only has his initial attack to be worried of. Heat Man isn't so bad either. Flash Man had me a little worried, as sometimes he's hard to kill before he uses his time stopper. And of course, Metal Man is a joke without the conveyor belt, though, getting that far can cause chokes of epic proportions.

I achieve the impossible in the end, and freak out for a minute as I try to grasp my achievement. So enjoy Mega Man doing some funky movements after Metal Man's dead.

Well, that's all I want to say, I guess. I don't expect to try anything of that difficulty in the future. No save states or slowdown were used as always.

Oh, and happy New Year!
