Venturing into the second fortress stage, we have a pretty bog standard fortress-level water stage. Death spikes are everywhere, and, for a fortress stage... that's pretty much to be expected, so hey, I'm fine with that. Once again though, we run afoul of the fortress stage checkpoint issue, where the secondary checkpoint does not register unless you make it to the boss... and it's especially troublesome here because that second checkpoint is still a good bit away from said boss... The boss this time... again there's an instant death attack, this one more purposeful than just knocking you in a pit, though it's easy enough to do that, too... Dodging this particular instant death attack, it's easy enough if you see it coming, but still, jumping off the screen more or less is not exactly the most intuitive reaction o.o; An interesting boss overall, I just kind of wonder if, with everything else already going on, if it really needed an instant death attack on top of everything else...
