Mega Man X Playthrough Part 3
0Now comes one of my favorite features in the game that I didn't note back in Flame Mammoth's stage. Beating certain Mavericks will change the layouts of some levels, none as drastic as here in Spark Mandrill's stage. Beating Storm Eagle causes that ship to come crashing down into the factory and breaking almost all of the traps based on electricity. The floors in the first section, the miniboss and Spark Mandrill himself all crippled by lack of power thanks to the crash.
On to Armored Armadillo, such a fun stage to play, it is more like a roller coaster with a few platforming sections in between. Another Heart Container and E-Tank in this level made easy to get with the right weapons for the 2 minibosses and that awesome ride to the end of the stage. Then with Armored Armadillo at just the right distance you can keep his AI shooting at you after shocking him of his armor making this one of the easiest Mavericks in the game.
