Gameplay from the SNES version running on the Wii U, video shows the first two levels of Mega Man X.
Released: 1993
Developer: Capcom
Publisher: Capcom
Also known as:
ロックマンX (Rockman X)
Following the arrival of the Super Famicom / Super Nintendo, Capcom decided to revamp Mega Man for the 16-Bit era. The end result is a game arguably better than any instalment from the original series.
While the Mega Man X series fell apart from the fifth game onwards the first four games really are worth tracking down if you like action and shooting platform games. Mega Man X was also given an excellent remake on the PlayStation Portable in 2005 under the name Mega Man Maverick Hunter X.
The insane difficulty of the Mega Man series is an urban legend only the original Mega Man on NES had this issue. After the first game, Capcom added a password system which turned the series into one of the easiest video game franchises ever made, the added power-ups for the later games made them even easier.
Captured directly from the Wii U via an Elgato Game Capture HD, recorded at 1080p.
