Final Maverick stage. Watch for the many thorns and spikes around here. The rose things can only be hurt when they release those small enemies,and have a tentacle attack as well. Some enemies can pop up from the floor and ceiling too to spit spikes at you. You'll need to use the floating ropes for the 2nd half of the stage to get by the pits. Axle will jump around and throw spiked roses at you,and makes an invincible clone of himself. He's weak to Quake Blazer,but it's a little hard to hit him with. it'll make his clone disappear for a bit at least. Zero gets the Twin Dream skill for winning. After this stage,the game decides if the Space Shuttle will succeed or not. If it fails,Zero goes Maverick and you lose control of him the rest of the game,meaning all that work for nothing. If it succeeds,Zero makes it back safely and is still playable. You can reload the save to try and alter this outcome if needed.
