You'll have to go through a short stage before reaching the final boss,which includes a disappearing block section. Just like the good ol' days. Anyway you guessed it,it's time to defeat Sigma again,and hopefully for the last time! Turns out he was very curious about Zero and wanted to return him to what he once was using tons of his Virus,making casualties uncountable just for that. For his first form,he'll try dashing at you,and can dash up walls a bit like he did in X1. He can also fire energy beams at you,and surround himself with a trio of Sigma Virus. As he's damaged,he'll start firing huge energy blasts at you that are hard to avoid. Once he's downed,he'll become giant for his 2nd form. The red dot on his big head is his weak point. Watch out for the hands since they can act independently. Thy can fire Sigma Virus and try to ram into you slowly,but you can also use them as platforms. If Sigma fires 4 energy blasts,keep moving since they'll track your position for a few seconds. The hands can also attack with beams from above,but at that point you can shoot them down. He can also create giant purple energy squares that he can slide around the room. Keep up the assault as best as you can while dodging,and use those E-Tanks if needed. He's difficult,but not as hard as older Sigma bosses. After he dies,X finds Zero barely alive. Sigma launches a final attack on the both of them,and Zero finishes him off with the last of his energy. 3 years later,X is still fighting on in Zero's stead,with Zero's Z-Saber in hand.
