Mega Man Zero 3 - 100 Point S Rank Run [Part 3]
107This is part 3 of my 100 point S rank run of Mega Man Zero 3. This time several incredible EX Skills are obtained from the bosses making the routing choice tougher than usual, here are the notes for this part.
-I start off with Tretisa Kelverian to get Gale Attack but I admit that having Orbit Shield in the fight against him would be quite helpful in terms of speed. Ultimately I decided to get Gale Attack first because it's quite helpful in destroying some fairly annoying enemies in the Snowy Plains as well as Glacier le Cactank himself, provided you space yourself correctly when using it and don't take contact damage.
-Orbit Shield is an insane EX Skill and it allows Zero to crank his damage output to absurd levels, demonstrated perfectly against the miniboss of the Energy Facility and Volteel Biblio. The reason it's so good is because it has a combo value/hit priority of 0 allowing it to hit before a charge or triple slash and follow up with anything else all the way to Saber Smash. Its strength will be shown off even more in the final level.
-The Sunken Library is infamous for having an annoying level gimmick involving picking the right doors to enter. Choosing incorrectly will lead to you losing mission points. I used to break out a pen and paper to track what was where but eventually you start to get a feel for the pattern of which doors to go in just from quick observations of the data screens. Often times doors are adjacent to each other either horizontally or vertically.
-Energy Facility is my personal favorite stage in this run since I managed to show off every weapon having useful a function in it. EX Skills are used all over the place and it's a blast to play. Unfortunately it being last means that Soul Launcher gets less chance to shine, I really like it a lot especially as a stylish way to beat enemies. It also would've been great to have on the Giant Elevator but since Saber Smash's sparks already do a great job of clearing out enemies it wasn't a priority to get. I also really did want V-Shot before going into this level to help clear out the moth enemies which is why I did Volteel before Foxtar.
