Mega Man ZX Part 3
0Part 3. Mega Man in the style of a Metroidvania? This was another unexpected surprise. Let's get the first thing out of the way, this has one of the worst maps I have ever seen in a Metroidvania. It's awful. There is no semblance to how it works. At least you can get a general idea of where you are, but deciding how to proceed is a chore. The game itself is a lot of fun mired by the fact that it's kinda hard to tell where it is you need to go. The level design is fine and it's always fun to revisit areas with new power-ups. Navigating environments can be a bit confusing at times, but never anything you can't overcome. The bosses are loads of fun to take down and the game isn't all that hard. Plenty of side-quests with super helpful rewards are speckled in. It would have been nice if the game somehow indicated who had quests though. There are also some fantastic tunes to be heard throughout the game. At the end of the day, it's a really fun Metroidvania mired by a horrible map design. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
