Melting My Brain With Probabilities In A Roguelike Deckbuilder With Dices | Perfect Dice - Part 1
Hello everyone! Here we are with a new release. This is Perfect Dice, a different kind of roguelike deckbuilder using dices. It is similar to Spellrogue, with the main difference that the requirements for the the successful dices are decided randomly each turn, not decided by the card/spell you need to cast and, because of the same, it depends more on luck/chances or your skill to calculate probabilities. Also, everytime you hit a successful roll, that number is removed from the options, adding even more difficulty. These are the main reasons why this game can be pretty tough on your brain.
Even, when it is just a slight change, gameplay feels pretty fresh, but, like I said, also quite hard, forcing me to take around 5 minutes for each turn (full run was 2 hours and a half, but I removed some of the thinking). Probably my favourite part of the game was the dice variety and the ability to mix them in some places. Also, I found the capability to reroll random events to be a pretty nice addition.
I feel so sad about how unlucky I was during the final boss (failing when wanting to succeed, but nailing them when wanting to fail, even when the chances where somehow in my favour), but that is how this game is destined to be... Sometimes probabilities are just that, so never be sure unless you have a %100.
