This is a video on the Meta Quest Pro headset where I'm answering the question of whether it's worth upgrading from the Quest 2 to the Quest Pro. This might seem insane if you look at the Meta Quest 2's price tag (around £400/$400) and see that the Quest Pro costs nearly three times as much. However, if you like the Quest 2 for it's freedom, the convenience of wireless and more then the Meta Quest Pro might well be worth the money. Especially considering the upgrades.

I've been using the Meta Quest 2 for a long time and love it for various reasons. I enjoy the wireless freedom it offers, but also the fact that many of the games on it are very similar to their PCVR versions but often without compromise. Where other cheaper VR headsets often just feel a bit meh. The Quest 2 was always a bargain because of this, but also because you can use it wired or wirelessly connected to your PC via Quest Link, then play Steam VR games.

Well, now you can do that on a better headset which has better tracking, better onboard processing power and more.
Features of the Quest Pro that make it stand out:
- Charging base station that charges both the controllers and the headset
- Upgraded Snapdragon processor on the headset and on the controllers too (controllers track themselves)
- Built-in eye tracking that works for Foveated rendering which means improved visuals and performance
- Upgraded lenses which offer a crisper view and better visuals across Quest games but also on PCVR games too
- Hand and facial tracking for various uses
- Really bright display which means that there's no issues with light bleed ruining your game
- Improved passthrough cameras, so you can walk around your house with ease
- The design means it's cooler and I don't get hot or steamed up
- It's comfortable and well balanced.

Interesting point of note here - the specs show that the Meta Quest Pro has the same pixels per eye as the Quest 2, BUT the company says it's slimmed down the optical stack (by 40%) and increased the pixel density by 37% and increased overall system resolution for Meta Quest Pro (22 pixels per degree) by 10% compared to Meta Quest 2 (20 pixels per degree).
