CellSpurs patch version: 4.90 (Same as PS3 Firmware)
Put the patch text into notepad and save as All Files with the filename imported_patch.yml and place into the patches folder in RPCS3 folder. Then right click the game in RPCS3 and click Manage Patches to activate.
ROM I used: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots Version 2.00 (NPUB31633)
PS3 Firmware I used: 4.90
I used the RPCS3 Thread Scheduler setting since I have a Ryzen CPU, if you're on Intel, setting the thread scheduler in RPCS3 to "Operating System" should be fine.
With the settings I used I was able to play through the whole game with no crashes.

When played on a PS3 the game only runs at 720p at mostly 30fps with drops into the 20s, playing through an emulator even at 1080p with anisotropic filter turned up to 16x gives a massive improvement in the experience. If you have a powerful CPU you can get it running at 1440p or even 4K by increasing the resolution scale and setting the resolution scale threshold to 256x256. If you have an Intel CPU make sure to turn on AVX-512 in BIOS. The game ran at 60fps most of the time for me, with some drops into the 50s in heavier scenes. A recent 8 core CPU clocked at 5.0Ghz or higher should have no trouble maintaining 60fps most of the time at high resolutions.
