This is part four of my thirty nine part run of the Game cube game: Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. This is the section where you fight off a bunch of guards with a female rookie, get the suppressor, and find the President of Arms tech, Kenneth Baker.
0:36 - Gross
0:41 - I don't think anyone say this line without sounding bad, the only way this line can sound good, is if the person saying it is REALLY MAD! As far as I can see. This is definitely a line that needed improvement, but didn't get it.
0:49 - This is definitely an improvement over the original, which sounded like she was Declaring it to the viewer or something.
1:06 - This is more realistically what Snake probably would have done, and it looks cool. I also intentionally didn't take the SOCOM to have this scene in this way, since Snake shows off either profound cojones or profound Mental Illness. (Mrtennek reference)
1:15 - Debi Mae West conveyed her emotions better this time around, but she no longer sounds as courageous as she used to.
1:19 - As good as the old line, it fits better with Snake having the gun pointed towards his own head since it sounds a lot more like he's mocking her.
1:42 - How did he know that BEFORE the guys came in?
1:49 - WTF!? Why did they remove the Encounter theme? It kicked Ass!
1:50 - This area of the game has some really flawed hit detection, whether they did it to make sure the enemies are harder or whatever, the hit detection gets annoying. Also, they made this whole area much more difficult, since you now have completely control as to where you're shooting, it's easier to kill people, so they made the enemies stronger and in higher numbers, an understandable change, but it doesn't go well with the flawed hit detection.
2:16 - Okay, the yell itself sounds terrible, BUT WHY DID THEY ADD A SECOND PART TO IT!? Along with her shooting for a needlessly long time!?
2:22 - It might not show, but I can't move, I can't move until a certain point.
2:49 - SURPRISE BUTT-SEX! (LittleKuriboh reference)
3:10 - BULLSHIT!
3:18 - MORE BULLSHIT! (Not as bad as the unblock able Head butt in MGS4, but still really annoying)
4:02 - This does work a little better since it shows her reaction to her first kill, and conveys a point that is later brought up.
4:17 - The line itself is as good as it was originally, but the timing worked a little better.
4:22 - Too much focus, even though: "REMEMBER, THIS IS IMPORTANT!" (Egoraptor Reference)
4:27 - In the original game she didn't push the button, the elevator magically opened up for her, and the fade out was much faster, making it to obvious who is the cause of the random ass flash back.
4:44 - This pace works well for everyone except Liquid, after all, he's incredibly pissed, so he should probably be talking quicker.
4:49 - I think Zimmerman did a better job than Lane did, Lane sounded Happy all the time, it was weird.
5:06 - Foreshadowing
5:21 - In the original, they didn't fade into the female character, they just went away at Mantis saying "Boss, I have a good idea".
5:29 - This scene has needless effects, but I think it makes more sense than how in the original the girl just fired at Snake, like she was actually trying to kill him rather than just warn him off.
5:51 - She didn't originally reveal herself, she just made an Ashley like Gesture.
6:14 - Disturbing, and a bit pretentious
8:30 - If I don't get it now, I have to wait much longer to get it.
10:36 - Considering how he just draws and never really steadily aims, this scene was a bit too much and the slow down was completely unnecessary.
10:54 - CLIFFHANGER! I made a few of these through out the run.
