This was interesting, the first and only Metal Slug on the Atomiswave hardware. The backgrounds felt very different to the old games; I don't know if that's because it was a new system or a new developer, but probably the latter. The new enemies were pretty cool, and the thing if protecting the humans from getting turned into a new breed of zombies was novel.

The final boss was exceptionally repetitive, which is, unfortunately, a very common issue in Metal Slugs, but overall I enjoyed it.

This was recorded on actual PS2 hardware, unlike Metal Slug 7 which I haven't recorded yet but which will be on an emulator, purely because I have no way of capturing Nintendo DS footage other than on an emulator.
